Safety points for forklift maintenance operations in autumn

Before operation:

Select a flat surface, establish a warning area, and keep out unauthorized personnel.

Stop the forklift, apply the handbrake, chock the wheels, and support any suspended components with safety stands.

Gather qualified tools and wear non-slip shoes, protective gloves, and goggles.

During operation:

For internal combustion forklifts: Change oil with the engine cold and avoid open flames. For electric forklifts: Operate with the battery disconnected and prevent static electricity.

Hydraulic/brake systems: Release pressure before operation. Do not touch high-voltage components with bare hands. Do not mix oils.

Use lifting equipment when disassembling or installing heavy items. Do not support with hands or body support.

After operation: Reset and tighten components, test functions (lifting, braking, etc.), and check for leaks or unusual noises.

Clean up oil stains and tools, and recycle any hazardous materials such as used oil.

Record maintenance and track any unresolved issues.
