Precautions for maintenance of concrete machine in autumn

Rust Prevention and Sealing: Coping with Humidity Fluctuations

Rust Prevention of Metal Parts

In autumn, the temperature swing between day and night is large, which easily leads to dew. Exposed metal parts of the equipment (such as the hopper, frame, and bolts) require rust removal and, if necessary, application of anti-rust paint or grease to prevent corrosion.

Inspect the seals (such as rubber seals) at the mixer discharge port and the connection between the hopper and the machine body. Replace any aging or damage promptly to prevent rainwater and dew from seeping into the equipment and causing rust.

Moisture Prevention of the Electrical System

Inspect the wiring terminals of electrical components such as the control cabinet, motor, and sensor, clean any dust, and apply moisture-proofing agent to prevent short circuits or poor contact caused by autumn humidity.

Ensure proper sealing of the electrical box and, if necessary, install desiccant to prevent moisture damage to internal components.

Power and Hydraulic Systems: Ensure Operational Stability

Engine Maintenance

Inspect the engine fuel system. As autumn temperatures drop, switch to a fuel suitable for low temperatures (for diesel vehicles, use a diesel grade appropriate for the local temperature to prevent wax buildup). Clean the fuel filter to prevent impurities from clogging the fuel lines. Check the battery charge and electrode terminals. Low temperatures in autumn can reduce battery capacity, so replenish the electrolyte (if using a maintainable battery). Clean the electrode terminals and apply petroleum jelly to prevent oxidation that can cause starting difficulties.

Hydraulic System Inspection

Check the hydraulic oil tank's oil level and quality. If there are bubbles or turbidity in the oil, replace it immediately and investigate for leaks (such as hydraulic pipe joints and cylinder seals). Low temperatures in autumn can cause seals to shrink, potentially leading to leaks.

After starting the equipment, allow the hydraulic system to operate without load for 5-10 minutes. Allow the oil to warm before operating again. Avoid damaging the hydraulic pump or cylinder by operating the system under heavy load in low temperatures.

V. Storage and Idle Equipment Handling

If the equipment needs to be idle for a period of time after autumn construction, additional precautions are required:

Thoroughly clean the material in the mixing drum and hopper. Spray the drum with rust inhibitor or clean water (empty the drum before winter arrives) to prevent rust.

Disconnect the power supply, remove the battery, and store it separately in a dry, warm place. Charge it regularly to prevent battery depletion. Cover the equipment with a waterproof cloth to prevent the accumulation of fallen leaves and rainwater, and keep the equipment storage environment ventilated and dry.
