I. Equipment Maintenance

Power System: Replace winter engine oil and antifreeze, check the battery charge and starting circuit to avoid starting difficulties in low temperatures.

Hydraulic System: Use low-temperature hydraulic oil, run the drill pipe at no load to warm it up before starting, and check the pipelines for leaks.

Drill Tools and Guide Systems: Clean the drill pipe of ice and snow and apply low-temperature grease. Store guide instruments in an insulated container to minimize exposure to low temperatures.

Travel Braking: Adjust tire pressure, add anti-skid chains (for snow), and clear ice and snow from the tracks. Check the brake fluid to ensure proper operation in low temperatures.

II. Operation Precautions

Before drilling: Check the weather to avoid inclement weather, clear the site of ice and snow to prevent slipping. Preheat the equipment for 10-15 minutes, and preheat the drill tools appropriately.

Drilling: Adjust the mud mix to prevent freezing, and add environmentally friendly antifreeze. Drill slowly and retract slowly in low-temperature formations to avoid damage to the drill tools.

Safety: Personnel should wear anti-slip and cold-weather protection gear, keep the operating room warm, keep flammable materials away, and have a fire extinguisher available. Carry cold-weather first aid supplies. After operation: clean ice, snow and oil from the equipment and park it in a dry place; drain accumulated water during long-term shutdown and store tools and materials indoors.
